Roads and traffic
Council provides a transport infrastructure system that allows safe, convenient and comfortable pedestrian and vehicle traffic flow, into and throughout the City. Council maintains a road network consisting of 1,228.35km of which 80% is located in the Rural area where just half of these roads are unsealed.
This system is supported by a comprehensive maintenance program for all roads, footpaths and cycleways including bridges, kerb and gutter and street landscaping.

Making maintenance requests of reporting faults:
- Road, footpath and cycleway maintenance requests can be made by calling Council's Customer Service Centre on (02) 6801 4000 or via email dcc@dubbo.nsw.gov.au.
- Street lighting outages should be reported to Country Energy on the 24 hour request line 132 080.
- Traffic light faults should be reported to the RTA transport management Centre on 131 700.
Council has an extensive program of road maintenance. Council aims to provide notices for all road works and temporary road closures for your convenience. Council understands the difficulties road works may cause, so we urge motorist to obey all traffic controls and directions associated with them.
